嵐山渡月橋から上流へ歩く（その２）：Walking upstream from Togetsu Bridge, Part 2

To find the traces of spring, I walked upstream along the Oi River from Togetsu Bridge.

フユザンショウの芽生え。

ビワの新芽です。

つぼみが膨れてきたシャガ。

昨年の花序が残るコアカソ。カラムシやイラクサの仲間ですが、木本です。

タマゴケ。

もやしのような、不思議なきのこだと思いました。調べてみると、ジャゴケの雌器托（しきたく）というものだそうです。胞子を遠くに飛ばすための方策らしいです。

ゴマギ。

ケヤキの新芽です。

これはヤブニッケイの新芽。

イロハモミジの芽生え。左にあるのはアリドオシ。

ビロードイチゴの美しい開花です。

ヤブツバキ。

流れの上のヤブツバキ。

ゴキヅルの実です。落ちずに冬を越しました。

ヤブムラサキの実

林縁のヤブムラサキが果実を付けています。類似種には、ムラサキシキブ、コムラサキなどがありますが、ヤブムラサキはビロードのような葉を持ち、果実は葉よりも若干下に固まって付くのが特徴。一方でムラサキシキブは葉の上に付き、実の付き方は散漫です。よく庭園に植えてあって、びっしり紫色の美しい実をつけているのは、一般にはムラサキシキブと呼ばれますが、実はコムラサキという種です。ちょっとややこしいですね。ところで、林縁に付けたコムラサキの実は、はっとするほど高貴で美しい紫色を見せています。

Yabumurasaki (Callicarpa mollis) at the forest edge is bearing fruit. Similar species include Murasaki Shikibu (Callicarpa japonica) and Komurasaki (Callicarpa dichotoma). Yabumurasaki has velvety leaves and the fruits are clustered slightly below the leaves, while the fruit of murasaki kikibu is attached above the leaves and are scattered. The plant often planted in gardens and bears beautiful purple fruits is generally called Murasakikibu, but it is actually a species called Komurasaki. It's a bit complicated, isn't it? Back to Yabumurasaki, their fruits adorned in their royal purple are astonishingly noble and beautiful.
