これも先日の例会の際に目にしたのですが、腹部が異様に膨れたカメムシを見つけました。調べてみるとクヌギカメムシというそうです。この時期に紐状の卵塊を、クヌギの枝に産み付けるとか。初めて見ました。卵で冬を越えるのでしょうか。
This is also what I saw during the excursion the other day, when I found a stink bug with an unusually swollen abdomen. When I looked it up later, I found out that it is called a Kunugikamemushi, or literally, sawtooth oak stink bug, (Urostylis westwoodii). I heard that females lay string-like egg masses on the branches of sawtooth oak trees during this season. I've never seen one before. I wonder if it survives the winter with its eggs.
