The acorns on the oak tree (Arakashi or Japanese blue oak (Quercus glauca)) are gowing all over the branches. Last year and the year before, the dropped acorns were like a brown carpet on the ground. As I remember, they were still small in August, but during the months of September and October, they have grown very large, as if the nutrients stored since spring were being injected into the fruit all at once. The vigor of the tree that can produce so many fruits every year is truly amazing.
