I found some purple berries near the torii gate of Matsuo Taisha Shrine. From the appearance of the leaves, I think it might be Komurasaki (Callicarpa dichotoma). In general, trees called "murasaki sikibu" are often called "komurasaki," but in many cases, the trees are called "murasaki kikibu" even though they are originally called "komurasaki" because of the good naming. "Komurasaki" is characterized by its relatively short branches, serrated leaves, and the small size of its berries and the way they grow on the branch. Its bright fruits decorate the garden in autumn.
