クロアゲハ（再々々訪）

またまたクロアゲハの幼虫を観察してきました。今日は一匹のみが観察できました。大きく成長した方は蛹化の準備に入ったようです。ホッと一息、安心しました。残った葉は少なく、ほとんどの葉を食べ尽くしてしまったようです。残りの一匹も無事蛹化すると良いのですが。来春に飛翔する姿を見たいものです。幼虫は大概頭をぴったりと枝や棘につけてじっとしていますが、これもまた可愛らしいです。

I went to observe the larvae of the black swallowtail butterfly again today. Only one larva could be observed. The larger one has gone to get ready to pupate. I felt quite relieved. Most of the leaves of the branches have been eaten up. I hope the remaining one will also pupate safely. It would be nice if they survive through the winter and if there is a chance for me to see them again. As it usually does, the larva stayed still with their heads tightly attached to the branches and thorns today, which was very cute.
