ケヤキの冬芽：Winter buds of Keyaki (Zelkova serrata)

　密を避けて1月3日に松尾大社に初詣に出かけたのですが、結構な人出でした。昨年とはかなり異なります。東京と沖縄でCovid19の新規感染者が100人を超え、第6波の襲来が実感されます。

　境内に強剪定されたケヤキの木があり、下の枝が目線の高さで観察に都合よく、写真を撮ってきました。

    Avoiding the crowd, I went to Matsuo Taisha Shrine on January 3rd for Hatsumode (New Year's visit). Contrary to my expectations, there was, in fact, quite a crowd. Things are quite different from last year. With more than 100 new cases of Covid19 in Tokyo and Okinawa, we feel the sixth wave of the disease hitting Japan. I am afraid that the crowded New Year will bring more and more patients in the following months. 

    There was a heavily pruned zelkova tree in the precincts, and the lower branches were at eye level, convenient for observation, so I took some pictures.
