冬虫夏草三種：Zombie ants, etc.

西山の谷筋に豪雨の翌日に入りました。さすがに増水していて、ちょっと怖いくらい。先日来目を付けていた冬虫夏草を撮影して帰りました。

I found three kinds of Zombie fungi along the valley in the west of Kyoto basin. One seems to grow from a spider, another from ant and the other from a large moth. I have been observing the last one since February. The mycelium that covered and connected the moth to the branch has almost worn away, but it manages to cling to the twig somehow. The one growing from the ant is called "Taiwan aritake" (Ophiocordyceps ootakii). The first one is probably Gibellula dimorpha, but I am not sure.

翅があるようですが、本体はクモのようです。

タイワンアリタケ。今年の冬にできたものが、昨日の雨で落葉しましていました。菌糸は現れてなくなり、きれいになっています。

ガヤドリナガミツブタケです。まだ枝に付いています。これが落ちるのがいつなのか気になって通っています。

新たに発見した冬虫夏草らしきものです。ストローマのようなものが伸びてきています。
