The chance of rain being 0 percent throughout the day, I visited Kyoto Prefectural Botanical Garden late afternoon. My last visit was in the middle of September and during these few weeks, the garden scene changed drastically from summer to autumn. There were few flowers blooming now and hawk moths were busy or rather desperate gathering nectar from the remaining flowers. After strengthening themselves and laying eggs, they die away leaving the propagation of the species to the larvae of the next generation.
