アルビノのカンムリカイツブリを見ました。夕闇が迫る対岸で、条件が悪かったのですが、かろうじて証拠写真程度には撮れました。どちらかというと単独で行動していますが、時々は仲間と一緒に泳ぐこともあります。今週は冬型の気圧配置で、大陸の寒気団が張り出してきて冷え込みます。それにつれて、渡ってくるカモたちの数もずいぶん増えているように思います。
An albino Crested Grebe (Podiceps cristatus) has arrived in Kyoto. When I went to see it, it was on the other side of the river as dusk was falling, and the conditions were not good, but I barely managed to get a shot at it. It was rather solitary, away from the other grebes, but sometimes they swam together. This week has been a wintery one, with cold air masses coming in from the continent, and it is cold. As the weather gets colder and colder, the number of ducks coming over is certainly increasing.
