アルビノのカンムリカイツブリ（再掲）

先日紹介したアルビノのカンムリカイツブリを再度見てきました。今回は人に近い場所に休んでいて、それなりに大きく撮ることができました。アルビノといっても、全身が真っ白なわけではなく、首やくちばし周りなど微妙に色が残っている部分があります。また眼は赤色でした。それほど人を避ける様子がないところを見ると、夏越しした地でも人に可愛がられていたのかもしれません。ゆっくりと越冬させてやりたいものです。

I took another look at the albino Crested Grebe I wrote about the other day. This time it was resting on the water closer to the shore, and I was able to take a good look at it. Even though it was an albino, its entire body is not pure white, and it has some subtle coloration on its neck and around its beak. Its eyes were also red. Seeing that it didn't seem to avoid people that much, it might have been loved by people where they spent the summer. Let us have it overwinter peacefully.
