テイカカズラが実をつけています。（春の花はこちら）実と言っても、細長いさやで、この中には冠羽のついた種子が多数入っています。テイカカズラはガガイモの仲間の植物で、同じ仲間であるキジョラン、ガガイモ、カモメヅルなどと同じようにつる性で冠羽の付いた種子を飛ばします。果実が実りやすい年と実りにくい年があるようで、今年はそこここに果実を見るので、実りやすい年ではないかと思います。下の写真では二股に分かれた実が中央に見えています。
Teikakazura, Asiatic jasmine (Trachelospermum asiaticum) is bearing fruit. The peapod like fruits are long, thin pods that contain many feathery seeds. It is a close member of the Asclepiadaceae family, and like the other members, such as Kijoran (Marsdenia tomentosa Morr. et Decne), Gagaimo (Cynanchum rostellatum), and the Kobanokamomedzuru (Vincetoxicum sublanceolatum), it is a vine that produces seeds with crown feathers. There are years when they easily bear fruit and years they do not, and this year I saw fruit here and there. In the photo below, you can see a pair of fruits in the center of the picture.
