いつもの谷間の道にタイワンアリタケが発生しています。シダ類やアラカシなどの葉裏にトゲアリの類に寄生して、ストローマを伸ばしている様子が見られます。年初以来30近い個体を確認しています。中でも1枚の葉裏に2匹連続して発生しているものがあり、印象的なのでポストしておきます。タイワンアリタケについては、以下のサイトでの解説が詳しいです。

On my favorite path through a valley, we can observe many Taiwanaritake (literally, Formosa ant mushroom) (Cordyceps sinensis) specimens. They can be seen parasitizing spiny ants on the undersides of leaves of ferns and Japanese oak trees, and now they are extending their stroma. I have found nearly 30 since the beginning of the year. Among them, there are two in a row on the underside of one oak leaf, which is so impressive that I am posting it here.
